384k Memory Module designed to be compatible with Fadal Machining Centers with 1400-3, 1400-4, or 1400-5 CPUs. It is a low-cost drop-in replacement that is an alternative to the 1400 series of Fadal Memory boards. Provides lower battery drain and greater reliability through the use of modern parts and careful design.

Description

A modern take on a classic memory module, this is designed to be compatible with Fadal Machining Centers.

Benefits include:

  • No need to connect a computer to drip-feed common parts
  • Simulate programs before running them (called SUM Program in Fadal parlance)!
  • Modern components and design techniques
    • All surface mount components
    • Lower power drain from system battery due to reduced component count and more efficient memory.
    • Precision hand-layout of design
    • Film capacitor utilized for decoupling on battery-backed rail reduces parasitic draw.

Card is a fully compatible replacement for any systems that utilize the 1460 series of cards, and is functionally identical to the OEM 1460-22 / PCB-0041 card.
